Our first Employee of the Month of 2026 is the momentum driving print forward!
We didn’t end 2025 the way I had wanted to, but I vowed that 2026 was truly going to be my year.
I spent my time planning and preparing for the new year, over the holidays. It started with having our monthly giveaways ready and then adding them to the Etsy store.
We kicked things off with the Lunar New Year bookmarks for the Year of the Horse:
2026 Fire Horse Lucky Zodiac Bookmark
I learned that the horse must always be moving forward, and that is exactly what JP Graphics is doing: moving forward with a clear plan.
JP Graphics focuses on medical and pharmaceutical print and packaging. For years, we have invested in embellishment equipment that sets us apart from other printers. Once I realized these capabilities could also be used for Idyll Time Wines and our beautiful pop-ups, I didn’t regret a single equipment purchase. From our Zund digital die-cutter (and now our Skandacor) to our transfer labels, everything sets us apart and lets us shine.
Our monthly giveaway reminds everyone: Never go anywhere empty-handed! These items are then added to the Idyll Time Gifts Etsy store.
Focusing on growth for JP Graphics is my primary goal. We’ve also invested heavily in youth, showing that print is not dead, it can be an amazing, long-term career. (The Visual Media Alliance even offers scholarships.) It’s not a hard sell once they realize we’re not FedEx/Kinko’s. We truly believe that everything is better with print! We make work a place where people can learn, grow, and have fun. Just ask any employee about our holiday parties, they are epic!
Picking Jonathan Reyes as our first Employee of the Month for 2026 just confirmed that we are doing everything right. We simply need to stay the course.
Jonathan has worked for JP Graphics since September 2024. Hired into our Shipping/Delivery department, this young man brought the greatest attitude from day one. He was truly a “culture” hire. Miguel Ojeda could not have found a better person to represent JP Graphics.
Because our drivers are out on the road almost all day, you don’t always see them, but the comments from the managers say it all.
Here’s what they had to say:
- “He is truly ‘Johnny on the Spot.’ He comes to work on time, always with a great attitude and ready to work. He makes two rounds around Silicon Valley. My job is just to choose whether to ship or deliver… (still trying to teach Joan the difference).” ~ Miguel
- “Johnny does a great job driving and rounding up the product to deliver.” ~ Joe
- “He is always helping to get his truck loaded and does it again and again. Johnny helps in Bindery so he can get back on the road.” ~ Claudia
- “Johnny is really quick and always finds the best way possible.” ~ Jonathan
- “I am always trying to find the future, and when Miguel brought Jonathan in, he was so young as a driver. But he was just so happy to work for a good company. This kid makes me so happy every time he brings the billing box in, with that same smile on his face. I hear about it all the time, because I really don’t get to see him much while he’s out on the road from the morning. All of these kids are my kids, and I truly do see the future in them.” ~ Joan
The start of 2026 shows the power of print is what gives us unstoppable momentum, and it is the youth who carry our future forward. Keep on driving, Johnny, thanks to you the road ahead is bright!
