Last Friday we held our mid-year Employee Recognition event, honoring team members who have reached 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service with JP Graphics. We enjoyed a great BBQ prepared by Joe and then gave everyone the rest of the day off.
While I often joke that I like machines more than people, the truth is while I love finding new equipment, and improving our capabilities, what truly sets JP Graphics apart, is our team.
It’s remarkable to realize we have been in business for more than 28 years. Adding Idyll Time Wines to the family has only reinforced our favorite saying: Everything Is Better with Print!
With great admiration, I am pleased to share that Claudia Rubio is our Employee of the Month for April 2026.
Claudia joined JP Graphics in April 2003, coming to us from our longtime mailing partner, Zion Press.
When Chang Cho no longer had enough work to keep her fully occupied, he personally recommended her to us. That endorsement meant a great deal. Chang and I were close business partners, and his trust showed how strongly we both believe in taking care of good people.
Over the past 23 years, Claudia has grown with us through every expansion — Wire-O binding, perfect binding, folding, mailing, laminating, and more. As Manager of our Hand Bindery, she has been a steady, reliable leader. She supported Norbi for many years and now helps Jonathan as he leads the department, continuously improving processes in both Production and Bindery.
When I launched Idyll Time Wines in 2020, Claudia stepped up right away. She handles packing, labeling, and foiling with outstanding care. No one applies labels, whether paper or transfer, more pristinely. Her attention to detail is exceptional. The fact that she reliably manages responsibilities for both JP Graphics and Idyll Time Wines speaks volumes about her dependability.
Claudia also introduced us to her daughter-in-law, Lupe Zamora, who has become a valuable member of our Customer Service team. It’s wonderful to see the next generation of talent thriving here.
