This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight the Santa Clara Parade of Champions (SCPOC), founded in 1945 to honor WWII veterans as true champions and reborn in 2019 to celebrate all community heroes—youth, veterans, and families in need.
We’re proud to support this legacy thanks to the power of print.
More than a parade, this festival at Franklin Mall strengthens Santa Clara’s connection to the community, raising funds for teen scholarships to pursue college dreams, heartfelt veteran tributes, and aid for families facing medical crises.
Fabulous floats, marching bands, food trucks, and a Community Village with KidZone activities unite youth, seniors, civic and business leaders who make Santa Clara a top California city. This year in light of the city hosting some major sporting events, they’ve added a Sports Fan Zone which has already become a huge draw for attendees.
Many of you got a head start supporting this cause at Idyll Time Wines 2nd Thursday Pop-up where SCPOC had a booth and was featured as the nonprofit pourer on September 11.
Whether a lifelong Santa Claran or new to the tradition, join neighbors to cheer, share stories, and build a stronger community this October thanks to the Santa Clara Parade of Champions.
