A newcomer at JP Graphics, Shalini visited our print shop, when the design professor at Mission College brought her class, to learn about printing fundamentals and where print is heading.  After she graduated, Shalini called us and persistently sent e-mails asking to work here, and we decided to hire her as an in-house designer.

Shalini began to help on the monthly giveaways, often doing a design within hours for a crazy last-minute mailing.  We also wanted to show our ability to print on shipping boxes with our Xante corrugated box printer and she quickly designed our Print It – Love It- Share It campaign for each month. Hearts for February, Shamrocks for March, etc.   We now run the machine daily for packing boxes, helping bring the campaign of print to life.

She also began helping with the T-shirt machine. When we needed to “test” it with colorful designs, Shalini allowed Joan to have some fun creating something for her sons.  Creating t-shirts for their respective trades, with fun designs and sayings:  “Almonds Grow Where Water Flows” for Dominic – who works for Harris Ranch and “I Bleed Green” for Nathan who sells John Deere tractors.  Not to mention the “Festivus for the Rest of Us” shirt she created for Bill, our Promo Guy.

In between all this, Shalini works with every bride that comes to us and wants a custom “Save the Date” card or wedding invite.  She is so sweet and patient, giving them some choices right away based on their input.  She also designs favor boxes for Memorials and Wedding Anniversaries.  These often utilize all our capabilities – including the Zünd digital die-cutter, the Nobelus Sleeker, and our “icing on the cake” the Duplo Dimensional UV coater.

Shalini has the attention to detail, persistence, and creativity that helps sets us apart from the competition.  Her designs are fun and modern, and we couldn’t be prouder to have Shalini on our team!  Thanks, Shalini for bringing your creative “A game” to work every day!
