Freddy Alkakos is the June 2023 Employee of the Month for a reason! He has been with JP Graphics since October of 2016, as his second job, handling ALL of the maintenance for us.
Freddy is not only our go-to for any maintenance issue but is also a jack of all trades who’s always ready to lend a helping hand. He is a pro at taking any idea and ratcheting it up several notches.
Freddie has single-handedly transformed our workplace to what it is today. From orchestrating the buildout of our air-conditioned printing room to painting the entire building by himself.
When it comes to organization, just ask Freddy. He’s the mastermind behind our highly optimized wine room, storage containers, and even our handy tool area. Is something out of order? Call Freddy. A machine down? Call Freddy. You can count on him to find a solution – whether it involves repurposing equipment, watching DIY videos, or just leveraging his vast network of skilled friends.
But that’s not all. When it’s time for some fun, Freddy steps up in high gear. He was the backbone behind some of our most memorable company holiday parties. Fancy a game of “Deal or No Deal” or setting up an Olympics-themed game area? Freddy, has it covered, including supplying the restaurant equipment!
And here’s the heartwarming part: Freddy’s kindness extends beyond office hours. He’s been known to help colleagues with personal tasks – from moving houses, fixing water heaters, to installing reverse osmosis systems.
I may have said it all, but a couple of comments from the managers to bring this home:
- “Freddy has helped so much with the organization, getting the tools put up and racks has truly helped as we begin to train our new recruits and cross train our team.” ~ Joe
- “The delivery vans are always ready now. Freddy gets the oil changes, repairs, tire changes, even the smog checks, and he washes them after working on them. So, I can focus on getting the maximum deliveries out per day as possible.” ~ Miguel
- “When I come in and help with Idyll Time Wines on the weekend, it’s nice when Freddy is here to do the heavy lifting. He’s always happy to help me with any tasks that I need to get done at JP Graphics and Idyll Time.” ~ Claudia
- “Freddy is the reason I love my building more than I love my home. Sometimes I walk into the plant on the weekends when he is here working, and just look around and say “wow”, this place is awesome! It’s my happy place. It’s even more fun on the weekdays when all the machines are running.” ~ Joan
Freddy Alkakos, is the pillar of organization that holds up JP Graphics. If you’re lucky enough to be part of our family, you can rest assured whatever you need solved will be handled with care and efficiency thanks to him.
