The 4th quarter of 2025 hit JP Graphics hard, with a noticeable reduction in sales. Misery may not love company, but it seemed that unless you were heavily involved in election printing, business was soft across the board.
Despite our best efforts to bring in additional parts and work, economic uncertainty played a significant role—customers delayed orders to avoid excess inventory, and there were far fewer trade shows or events requiring substantial print volumes.
Even holiday printing for Thanksgiving and Christmas saw a drop in the number of cards sent and received.
At JP Graphics, we’ve always lived by the adage: “What do you do when you have nothing to do?” You cross-train, perform maintenance, organize, and prepare for better times ahead.
That’s exactly the mindset that made our latest Employee of the Month stand out. Deiber Hernandez embodies that proactive spirit—honing his craft, learning more every day, even as a workforce reduction loomed as a possibility. We’re thrilled to name him our Employee of the Month for November 2025.
Deiber joined JP Graphics in July 2022, starting in Bindery and quickly stepping up to support Emigdio on the folders and stitchers. We still rely on our Multibinder for saddle-stitching—it’s old-school, but it delivers superior quality with perfect stitches and creases, whether for offset or digital jobs. Deiber came in eager to learn this machine and is now well on his way to mastering it. He’s also fully trained on our folders, where precision is everything—especially with the pharmaceutical folding we do so much of. Accurate folds are critical in that work.
Check out this recent video highlighting our pursuit of more medical and pharmaceutical projects here at JP Graphics:
Deiber is also expanding his skills on the Skandacor Laminator and our automatic Shrinkwrapper. He’s consistently taking on more responsibility—especially impressive since welcoming his first son last year.
Here are some comments from the managers:
- “Deiber on the folder is precise. He truly follows the procedures to ensure top quality.” ~ Joe
- “He is doing a great job with all the thermo folding jobs—he gets them done quickly and perfectly.” ~ Jonathan
- “He gets it all done, whether on the folders or stitchers—Deiber finishes jobs on time and at the highest quality.” ~ Claudia
- “Deiber is one of my many ‘young guns’ here. I’m teaching and training him about print, and with medical/pharma work, quality is of utmost importance. I know someday he will return home, and I couldn’t be prouder if he started his own printing or bindery company. He truly cares about JP Graphics and his work.” ~ Joan
Congratulations, Deiber—we’re grateful for your hard work and positive attitude. You’re helping keep JP Graphics strong through challenging times.
